Integrated Circuits are at the heart of innovations that are changing the way people live and work.

Autonomous machines. Data centers. Billions of smart, connected technologies. Three major technology trends—artificial intelligence, silicon proliferation, and software-defined systems—are shaping a new era of pervasive intelligence where technology is seamlessly integrated into our lives.

These trends are increasing design complexity and cost, while driving greater compute and energy demands. New design paradigms and approaches are essential for the industry to thrive in this rapidly evolving landscape.

Rapid changes in Integrated Circuits (IC) technology and constantly shrinking nodes demand new capabilities and skills to meet the contemporary requirements for IC design.

Synopsys Chile Innovation Center* and Universidad Santa María** invite you, undergraduate and graduate students and academics, to participate in the Digital Integrated Circuits Design Bootcamp where you will attend workshops accessing leading-edge software and plenary talks prepared to strengthen skills around the design and simulation of digital integrated circuits that are highly demanded in an increasingly more competitive and technologized market.

This bootcamp is a digital integrated circuit design course (synthesis flow, and place and route) where you will work on design and implementation of small common circuit blocks like differential pair and bias circuits.

Who should attend?

Undergraduate and graduate students and academics that meet the following requirements:

Basic semiconductor electronics knowledge.
Digital Systems knowledge.
Linux user.

Get ready for an immersive learning experience.

*Synopsys Chile opened in 2006 is one of Synopsys Inc., most important R centers the company has around the world and the only one in Latin America.

**The Federico Santa María Technical University or simply Santa Maria University (USM) is a Chilean university member of the Rector’s Council, founded in 1931 in Valparaíso, Chile. The university has campuses in Valparaiso, Viña del Mar, Santiago (Vitacura and San Joaquín), Concepcion, as well as in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The university admission is very competitive and, it is known for its rigorous study requirements, demanding study program. It was the first Chilean university to confer a doctorate in engineering in 1962 and the first higher-education institution in Latin America to confer this degree.
