Puerto Varas a Natural Paradise

Located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, Puerto Varas is one of the most beautiful and iconic cities in Chile. With a clear German influence, it has been a tourist city since its birth in the XIXth century.
Its colorful Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, founded in 1853, its heritage houses, which stand out for their unmistakable German architecture, and its waterfront and stunning views of the Osorno, Calbuco, and Puntiagudo volcanoes and Cerro Tronador, make Puerto Varas and its surroundings a natural paradise and a unique place to visit and explore.

We will walk along its footbridges and watch the river leap through large masses of crystallized lava, formed by ancient eruptions of the Osorno Volcano. We will have spectacular views of the beautiful turquoise waters that amaze visitors daily.

The tour ends by sailing on the famous Lake Todos los Santos, where we will appreciate the reflection of nature in the waters and the calm of its beaches.

We will end the day with a dinner where we will enjoy the delights of Chilean cuisine.

Chilean cuisine stems mainly from the combination of traditional Spanish cuisine, Chilean Mapuche culture and local ingredients, with later important influences from other European cuisines. The food tradition is notable for the variety of flavors and ingredients, with the country’s diverse geography and climate hosting a wide range of agricultural produce, fruits and vegetables. The long coastline adds an immense array of seafood, with unique species of fish, mollusks, crustaceans and algae. Chile is also one of the world’s largest producers of wine and many Chilean recipes are enhanced and accompanied by local wines.
