LATAM Digital IC Design
Bootcamp - ladib

July 7 th – July 11 th , 2025

Every day from 9 am to 6:30 pm
Universidad Galileo, Guatemala.

Integrated Circuits are at the heart of innovations that are changing the way people live and work.

Autonomous machines. Data centers. Billions of smart, connected technologies. Three major technology trends—artificial intelligence, silicon proliferation, and software-defined systems—are shaping a new era of pervasive intelligence where technology is seamlessly integrated into our lives.

These trends are increasing design complexity and cost, while driving greater compute and energy demands. New design paradigms and approaches are essential for the industry to thrive in this rapidly evolving landscape.

Rapid changes in Integrated Circuits (IC) technology and constantly shrinking nodes demand new capabilities and skills to meet the contemporary requirements for IC design.

Synopsys Chile Innovation Center* Universidad Galileo** and USAC*** invite you, undergraduate and graduate students and academics, to participate in the Digital Integrated Circuits Design Bootcamp where you will attend workshops accessing leading-edge software and plenary talks prepared to strengthen skills around the design and simulation of digital integrated circuits that are highly demanded in an increasingly more competitive and technologized market.

This bootcamp is a digital integrated circuit design course (synthesis flow, and place and route) where you will work on design and implementation of small common circuit blocks like differential pair and bias circuits.

Who should attend?

Undergraduate and graduate students and academics that meet the following requirements:

Basic semiconductor electronics knowledge.
Digital Systems knowledge.
Linux user.

Get ready for an immersive learning experience.

*Synopsys Chile opened in 2006 is one of Synopsys Inc., most important R&D centers the company has around the world and the only one in Latin America.

** Universidad Galileo is a private university in Guatemala City. It was authorized by the Guatemalan Council of Private Higher Education, the governing body of the country's private universities, in October 2000, making it the first university in Guatemala with a technological focus. It stands out for its technological contribution in higher education in Guatemala.
*** The Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala (USAC) is the only state-run higher education institution in Guatemala. As the sole state university, it is exclusively responsible for directing, organizing, and developing state higher education, as well as the dissemination of culture in all its forms. It will promote research in all spheres of human knowledge by every means at its disposal and will cooperate in the study and solution of national problems.
